Contracts in two countries & taxes

Hello EF Community,

A little background: I am vuachère ( https://www.englishforum.ch/search.p…duser&u=111424 ). My login for that account was my work email address… and then when I left the position, obviously lost access to my EF account too…

So, after nearly 12 years in the country, it seems as if I (non-EU; still student B) might soon be leaving for a recently non-EU country (another option is an EU country) - hopefully temporarily. But this also means that I have a few questions - and am hoping that some of you might be able to shed some light?

My new job is likely to be 100%, but I also have a 10% contract in CH (I will need a work permit for sure - so will see what happens with the Immigration - my dossier is currently with my CH employer’s HR).

My questions are:

  • Am I allowed to work in both countries?
  • Would it be a problem if the overall work percentage then goes up?
  • Where would I be taxed?
If you work purely from remote the country were you live and do the work from is relevant. However, if you start to travel it becomes very complicated, specially as you are non-EU.

The 10% requires on site work in CH.
