Cool Whip?

Uuuh...i know this sounds weird, i mean with all the great dairy products and all but is there Cool Whip to be found in Switzerland...? maybe a Cool Whip wannabe...?

Anyone...? Anyone...?

none that I have ever found. I also love it!!!

It really does =/

What is it made of?

Not weird at all, as Cool Whip contains no dairy products at all. Sorry, can't help you but I doubt it is available here.

really a lot of air, water, sugar and fat from different oils....OMG....i want it like, NOW!!!!

How about Frys Turkish Delight anyone found this here?

http://www.britshop.ch/product_Frys_...elight_98.html

Ta, I've got a craving for one of these now..

i've seen it in movies and heard people talk about turkish delight but i NEVER tried it....what iis it? what's it like? i keep thinking of salt water taffy from atlantic city new jersey or the jersey shore...^__^

i might have to order it myself but it will not substitute for the cool whip...>_<

There's a big difference between Fry's Turkish Delight and the proper turkish delight !! The real one is like eating very sweet, perfumed flavour lumps of soft stuff coated in powdered sugar. Now Frys is well lish....mmmmm

You could even go as far as saying "Frys Turkish delight is not Turkish delight"

EDIT: and the real one is flavoured with rose petals - hence the perfume comment

Very very true, its defo NOT proper turkish delight. There must be some serious colouring added to the old bars of Frys turkish delight....that vivid purpley colour. mmmmm, who started this.....i want one now too !!!

Why not make your own????? its much better anyhow than coolwhip...

INGREDIENTS

1 cup heavy whipping cream

3 tablespoons confectioners' sugar

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

DIRECTIONS

In a chilled small mixing bowl and with chilled beaters, beat cream until it begins to thicken. Add confectioners' sugar and vanilla; beat until soft peaks form. Store in the refrigerator.

Cool Whip is made of water, corn syrup and high fructose corn syrup, hydrogenated coconut and palm kernel oil (CPKO), sodium caseinate, vanilla extract, xanthan and guar gums, polysorbate 60 (glycosperse), and beta carotene.[2] In some markets, such as Canada and the United States, Cool Whip is available in an aerosol can using nitrous oxide as a propellant.

Mmmmmmm

Sounds almost as good as this

There used to be a Turkish kebab style place near me which had the real Turkish Delight. It's closed now, but I'm sure if you scout around Turkish shops you'll find the stuff.

I miss eating Hollandse Nieuwe (raw herring with onions and pickles) and there's no way of finding that here.

On the subject of Cool Whip.... or Cool hWhip, however you pronounce it:

The scary thing about Cool Whip "the non-dairy topping" is that you can use it, freeze it, use it and refreeze it again.

Think I'll stick with real whipping cream..

Have you tried SwissCath's bookshop ?

"Of course they also have dutch food!"
