I've been informed by the issuer of the Coop's SupercardPlus that starting on September 2013 they will offer free online access for credit card owners. It seems they are pushing for an online based service, because from there on printed account statements will be subject to a fee.
I got my form to fill out to set up an online ID and sent it back. I think the coop card is one of the best credit cards in switzerland. The biggest drawback is that you couldn't check your rolling balance to see how much you were spending (or what kind of dudu you were in ) Now that seems to be finally changing.
Maybe in 10 years, we will be able to aggregate our bank, credit cards, pillar 2, and bills in one place. It would really help when we want to see our net worth. (or plan budgets) We could call it mint.com or something. What, already taken?
Did you read all the disclaimers in the T&Cs. They can send you data anywhere to anyone either on purpose or by accident and all liabilities are yours....nice
I just recieved the card and could not use the online e-services to activate the online access. From the Coop letter, I need to install the TopCard Security app, but this app does not functions as described to let me activate the service.
I too have the card and was able to activate e-services without using the security app. Go to https://esrv.topcard.ch/cop//login/c...er/index.xhtml and enter your contract number in the login page (see attached pic Login Page ). If you don't have your contract number, click on the relevant link and go through the one-time registration process. Once you fill all the required details, you will receive a mail in a day or two with access data. You should be able to access e-services thereafter without any hassle.
I just got a letter with contract number and did the same as you mentioned on the laptop but it did not work.
The online app did not work either.
I rang the Coop customer support number, after 10min of waiting, a guy picked up the call and said the technical team is not available, kindly ring back tomorrow. So bad.
By the way, I wanted to install the e-service because I think that is the only way you could know the balance and account info to clear the credit card each month, is it correct ?
The credit card itself is working fine, I did some grocery shopping and looks ok. But online purchase will need e-service verification, I could not do any online shopping now.
I'm not sure what the issue is during the registration process for you, since mine went through without a glitch. You can PM me if you have any specific queries.
Only after activating the e-service, I was able to set up e-billing with them for monthly payment and that too went without a hassle. Till you sort out the issues with e-service, I guess the only other options for payment might be either a paper invoice (along with a surcharge I believe) or a Direct Debit. You can set up a Direct Debit (LSV) after filling a form that must have been sent along with your card.
I finally reached the Coop customer support, it seems there was a technical issue. They have to reset my registration process. At the same time, I have to uninstall the app, and redo all the steps as per instruction in the letter. Everytime you do that, they will send out a new letter with the new contract number and QR code.
At least it seems to be the case, I just need a new letter with QR code to arrive to finish the registration and activate e-services.
Hope it helps others who might be in the same situation.
