Coop/Migros freebie toys/cards?

I don't know what to call these. Hopefully that title will work.

I'm trying to find out more info about the Disney packets (Coop) and small food toys (Migros) that you get when you shop at these stores. (I did figure out the Trophy stamps and have some nice new glasses!)

My questions:

Migros - There is a display that has empty boxes. Are these just to hold the food items you get? (I think they are like 3.50 CHF) Is it possible to buy a box of the toys or can you only get them when you buy other stuff and spend a certain amount? I think these are really cute and I'd like to take a bunch home for some young family members but I don't shop at Migros enough to get very many so I am trying to see if there is a way to purchase them.

Coop - they have this new Disney thing that I can't figure out. Again, thought I'd collect the cards for the same kiddos but I'm wondering if they have another purpose that I'm missing because they seem to have some type of points on them. Also, some are stickers, some cards, some tattoos, some seem to form a larger picture. Can anyone explain this "game" to me?

Thanks!

Migros Mini Mania - one with every 20,00 spent. The collection box was bought for about 3,50.

Unfortunately, you're a bit cows tail, as the promotion finished last week

The collection box being an empty box, correct? It doesn't come filled with toys. They are still selling these at my store is why I'm asking. (I'm guessing they just aren't giving them away with 20,00 spent anymore?)

There are indeed empty - and they stopped giving the freebies last week.

The Migros things are only available when you buy things. One per every 20 chf you spend and the box is indeed to store them in. There were all sorts of other things to buy at the start of the promotion but they seem to have disappeared now. You can buy little magnets to stick on them and stick them onto a white board ( also sold at Migros)

If you post on here asking for them I'm sure you'll be inundated with people offering to send them to you. I have some but I've promised to give them to somebody else but we are completing the sticker book so would be happy to receive stickers if anyone has any spares.

As for the COOP. The packets of stickers ( and sometimes the 'special' tattoos) are supposed to be stuck into the sticker books which sell for 2.50 at COOP. Sometimes you need four stickers to make up a full picture and the numbers on the back tell you where to stick them in the book.

I think both Migros and COOP organise swapping sessions to enable people to complete their collections. Check their websites for details.

Hope this helps.

EDIT : too slow! That'll teach me not o write such long posts in future.

Helped a great deal...thanks!!!

Wish I had that link months ago now!

Oh well, live and learn.

You can still get migros minis if the stores have them in stock, officially the promotion isn't/wasn't supposed to end until Oct 28th. My mum was in Migros in Uster yesterday and the cashier gave her 6 minis even though she only spent chf 20. Sometimes you get over generous cashiers and other times you get very strict ones who won't give you a mini if you have only spent chf 19.95 :-)

Do they do this mini food toy thing every year? Maybe I can plan better and collect them next year for them.

What? ....... bar stewards. Nothing in my local one, yesterday.

None in mine either.

I have around 5 packs of Disney things that are one step away of going into the trash. If you pm me an address i can put them in an envelope for you

The trick with these is to make sure you queue behind someone with a trolley full of expensive items but who doesn't fit the demographic of someone who has either children or grandchildren.

Then, when they inevitably refuse the proffered stickers/toys, you ask kindly whether you can have them instead.

Works every time.

Migros do two promotions a year, this spring it was spinning tops, last autumn dinosaurs out of carboard, spring before, animal pendants, autumn before stickers for a book about mountains.

Before that there were nanos and an underwater sticker book one, but I wasn't in the country then, not sure what was before that as my friend wasn't in the country then either.

No thanks - I'm gathering quite enough of those on my own! I appreciate the offer though! (It's the cute food that I'm lacking, only 1 cute box of petit beurre. )
