Coop points -- now what do I do with them

I've been collecting the coop points, I have about 3,000

I dont know what I can do with them. Can someone point me in the direction of the value I have/need to have to get something.

you can convert them to a gift card.

i transferred 6000 point to a 60 CHF card last week.

champagne at christmas

Rule of thumb: 1 point = 1 rappen, to be spend on almost everything in all stores that support the card.

We save up till we have 10.000 each time and then get a giftcard of 100,- and treat ourselves on an extra BBQ, points can add up quickly if you use the supercard every time in al the dozens of chains that support the supercard and look for your coupons in the mail, in their folders and extra actions on the supercard.cd website (I am almost at the point of getting my 6 cinema tickets for free )

Every so often Coop allows you to spend them on your shopping.

The check out clerk will ask you if you want to use some points to pay for some of your goods.

By getting the giftcard you can spend it on whatever you want and whenever you want in the store.

You can use them towards non-food items.

I buy toiletries and cosmetics at Coop City.

Edit... 3000 points equals 30 chf

You can look what you like here: https://www.praemienshop.ch/de

Sometime they have extra deals, most of the time it is more "expensive" than if use the points in store.

Sell on tutti or anibis for hard cold cash. They are worth a bit more than 1:100, (i personally sold at 1.10), especially in 20k chunks - bank coop demands that much before you get a competitive mortgage deal from them

I looked and saw this:

6 cinema tickets for < 2 francs each - there must be a catch?

Your calculator is crap?

12'500 points are "worth" 125 Francs. One Ticket is a bit more than 20.

Bad deal, not valid for the seats where you get additional benefits.

Doh, thanks. Mental decimal point error!

Huh?

Huh to what? Bank coop? I know it's ridiculous that they force customers to jump through this shit for only ~200 fr. Never liked that bank anyway, and they didn't like my passport too, so it's mutual

Yep, I sold a whole lot once (well actually the ones my ex collected on the card that somehow stayed with me ). The buyer said something about flying miles, don't remember.

For some reason I still hand over that card when I shop at coop (creatures of habits?) but I only exchange them, when the cashier says I can pay my meat ... my wine .... what ever ist is that day ..... with your points.

And yes, at coop city they always seem to say that, no matter what I buy.

If you have the Supercard app on your phone, the best thing to do is to convert them to the gift card, that way they are safer than if you just have them on the card.

I transfer them to the gift card on my phone as soon as I have 1'000.

If you lose the card and someone finds it, they can use the points to buy something, then your points would be lost. This happened to a friend of a friend. Before she realised that she had lost the card and was able to block it, the person who found it had spent the more than 6'000 points (60 francs worth) in Coop...

The best is to sell for cash, collecting a little price premium in the process as i described above, and put it on your swiss bank account

Coop now allows you to get a 10 Chf gift voucher for every 1000 Superpunkte that you have. You can use this to offset your next purchase at Coop.

That's exactly the gift card which has been suggested/discussed above. I find it a really good system. It's also quicker than the Migros system of having to wait for the vouchers to come through.

I always convert them into Miles and More Miles. Much cheaper than flying in the same number of miles.
