cost for single room USZ - Universitätsspital Zürich

Has anyone paid to be in a single room in Universitätsspital Zürich? How much was it?
situation:
Basic (Allgemeinen) health insurance
would like a single room in general (not private) ward.

fyi SRF has a 2017 article on pricing.
But it seems that it depends on what ward. Meaning a single room in the general ward has a lower cost than single room in private ward.

The article shows 1000chf at USZ a night. (not clear if that is for private or not)

Some other hospitals are in the 200+ range

please note this is not for child birth which may have different cost line up.
thanks in advance

Update

At present date 2023 Universitätsspital Zürich

Does not have Single rooms in the General Ward.

Nor do they offer Half private rooms

I was offered to upgrade to a full private room

for one overnight 2 days are charged.

a little more than 1k per day therefore 1 night= 2,000+chf (plus 'other' costs)

They asked for a deposit in advance. and made it clear this was the start of costs.

It really depends on what it is for. I don't know for USZ but most of the hospitals around have upgrades for deliveries but is subject to availability. Once a friend was willing to pay but there was no availability.

Around 10 years ago I was quoted a 27k price for 2 nights single room upgrade in Schulthess because for the procedure they had only the option to upgrade to private ward.

Coming with "basic" insurance:

1150 for a single/private room

570 for a bed in a double room

Our local little hospital, where one used to be able to get a room upgrade for 200/400, has stopped that practice.

You can no longer upgrade just the room, you now have to upgrade the whole package including medical care. So think very expensive.

(I don't know if basic insurance still pays their portion in this kind of upgrade, or if the whole thing then becomes out of pocket.)

Your comment 'they made it clear this was the start of the costs' makes me wonder if they are talking about just a room upgrade, or if they are expecting you to upgrade medical too. A room upgrade alone should be a fixed cost because you are still getting only the level of care the basic insurance pays for. So do clarify that.
