So I recently flew back from the U.K. to Switzerland. I did the mandatory rapid antigen test less than 24 hours before arrival. A few days after I got back, I got an email requesting that I submit my test result. Long story short, I tried multiple times every day but the website was always broken. Every time it would say it has sent an access code to my phone, but it would never arrive. After a few days I just gave up, and I heard from a few other people that they couldn’t get the website to work either.
Fast forward to today: I get a letter from the Kapo with a 200 franc fine for not submitting my result. I’m a bit pissed off because I did the test, and it’s not my fault they can’t design a simple web form to work properly. Admittedly I could have tried calling them for help, but I was also pretty unwell at the time (non-COVID stuff) and didn’t get round to it in time.
Anyone else have experience with this? If I contact them and explain that I did try to submit it but the website was faulty, is there any chance I can get them to cancel the fine?
So far it always worked for me. What did happen was that I thought one of the letters to be an O whilst it was an 0. Which is why I never got the code.
I copied and pasted directly from the email so I don’t think it was that. Also it would always say the confirmation code has been successfully sent to my mobile, but it just wouldn’t ever arrive. I’ve heard from other people that it only worked in some browsers. One friend said it wouldn’t work on his iPhone, only on his android tablet for example.
Take a screenshot of your browser history to show that you tried multiple times, apologize for not having called them and request them to relook at the fine.
If anyone has a similar problem: here is the phone number for Kanton Zürich:

I had something similar in canton AG and called. Was told to email them my details. No one would check the email, nor respond - but if anything happened I had evidence that I tried...
You usually get both a text code and an email to the email address you put on the PLF to come back to Switzerland. I've completed this multiple times without any issue after my UK trips.
I had similiar story what is share above that you di not get sms code after putting refrence number and mobile number.
Being from IT background when I recieved a sms it as this link where I need to login--> (URL removed)
But some how I was just checking authenticity of this link and googling this link and then I gone to root of this link which took me here --->(URL removed)
Unluckily both of these links has same look and feel and I tried with below link 3-4 times and it does not send me sms at all and then I straightaway called the number mentioned on website and they told me write a mail to them and share also results on email just to be safe. So i did send them mail and closed this topic.
Later in evening I was again playing with the above link ( IT Problem solving bug in head ) then I found out the main link which surely sends me the sms and I have uploaded my results successfully.
So lesson learnt for me was to be careful with handling such links in future.
I am not sure if something similiar happened with you.
Agree though that it is annoying as I could not have boarded without that test..... and in several Kantons this was not checked at all. Not mentioning the lack of control of people who came in by car.
I got the notice that the code had been sent repeatedly but no code. I used the SMS number they provided to ask what to do and was told to submit by email. A few days after doing that I got an email thanking me for my cooperation. This was in ZH.
I also had the problem of repeatedly requesting, but never receiving the code. I have been away for about 10 days, I guess I'll have a fine in my mailbox when I get back...
Update: I got an email back from the kanton apologising for the inconvenience and asking me to forward my response to the Kapo (already done). Hopefully that means I can get it cancelled. I’ll let you all know what the polizei say.
