Covid vaccination for tourist from Germany

Dear Sir or Madam!

Can someone from Germany (German residence permit) get vaccinated against Covid in Switzerland? If possible, is it free of charge?

Thank you.

Jack

I doubt that, I had to show my health insurance card every time.

Why? It ́s free in Germany as well for residents, isn ́t it?

It's definitely not free if you don't have Swiss health insurance....but I'm sure you can pay.

I think not. Only if you are a cross border worker

Sure, the Swiss tax payer will gladly vacinate you, and if you ask nicely thjey may even buy you lunch afterwards (with wine)

Anyone with a German residence permit has a mandatory German health insurance, so its free over there. Here you wont get access to it, all cantons have a short checklist from "I am Swiss" over "I am not Swiss but live here" to "I am a cross border worker". "I dont live here but want a free vaccine" was not an option there...

Anyways: Getting vaccinated is if anything faster and easier in Germany than here. I am waiting till next month to get my booster shot appointment... In Germany I'd just walk in and get it done.
