Crisco alternative?

I can't find Crisco shortening anywhere here.

Any ideas what could be used as an alternative?

I need it for a recipe to thin out melted chocolate as a thin icing for a special cookie.

Crisco is available in sex shops. Don't ask why.

So that's why I could never find it!

Don't ask why they stock it? Or don't ask how you found that out?

Or do they just call it Crisco...?

I have no problem saying that I go to a sex shop like in any other shop for the same commercial reasons. I don't see the issue.

It's real Crisco, the baking one.

Clear. But finding a food ingredient there?

(AH - its for "shortening" - gotcha. You and me both, buddy)

I have bought it in Germany at a big Real or similar store in the American section. Otherwise you can always order online if you don't need it ASAP. BTW, I placed an order with American Food Ave on a Tuesday and had it delivered to my door on Thursday, so I was quite pleased with the service!

I haven't ever tried the solid Pflanzenfett stuff they sell here - anyone out there with a suggestion for this?

M-i-l keeps that pflanzenfett stuff around, I used it to make "bisquik" from scratch and it worked well.
