I have a smoewhat technical question regarding overruning a red light in Zürich.
Thanks to some distracted driving, I overrun the arrest white line right after the red light had appeared at an intersection. I was in a traffic jam and driving super slowly, so I quickly realized and stopped just a couple meters after the arrest line.
This was unfortunately enough to trigger the camera, so I got a few flashes and a painful 250.- fine.
Does anyone know if I have any hope of converting the fine in something less serious, and less expensive, since I actually did not cross the intersection?
The letter does not mention anything else. I don't remember exactly, but I am relatively sure I did not go over the pederstrian crossing (even though there was one, as you correctly predicted).

Do note that orange means stop already. Only green gives permission to go ahead (without guarantee that you actually can, you still need to pay attention).
Except when they're flashing. A few times, the lights have changed to orange flashing as I've approached. Of course, I only see the change, so slow down... But a steady orange from green means stop if it safe to do so. (I.e. it's not within your braking distance). Red means
