Cut-to-size window screen (mosquito) nets.

Fortunately, our house has mosquito nets on all doors and windows.

Unfortunately, because of a friend running through a screen door, I must now replace one of them. (not the friend, the screen :-)

It is bigger than the pre-cut sized sold at Bauhaus, Jumbo...and I would like to find a place that sells it straight from the roll for customer-sizes (like you would find at Home Depot in the US...)

If anyone can point me in the right direction, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Coop Bau & Hobby have many things on rolls that the consumer can cut to their required length.

I can't guarantee that insect netting is one of them, but it MAY be available.

Availability could also depend on individual store size, too. The one closest to me is very big and has a large, varied selection of goods.

The big B&H near us has boxes of netting for self preparation. So guess it will depend on the size of the shop near you. But it isn't available in rolls.

Bau and Hobby sells the mesh on a roll. I think it is from Windhager.

Thank you for all your help and replies.

All the nets that come in boxes or pre-packages rolls are too small. (it is a window/door for the winter garden.)

I have done a couple of Coop Bau Hobby without luck but maybe I should look for the bigger ones.

IN the meantime, any additional ideas/feedback is much appreciated.

All the best

My local Migros Brico-Loisirs also sells lengths of the more solid mosquito netting from a roll; the kind used in roller screens rather than the stick to a window sort.

You probably just need to try one of bigger shops, it is available out there somewhere!

OP, what measures are you talking about? Would it be an option to "combine" two smaller strips, perhaps with two thin wooden boards (glued/screwed together, one each on front and back side) to bridge/cover the gap?

I am surprised that you say they are too small.

I bought a pack of netting at it has done for 3 windows! Ho-hum.
