Anybody had any experience with using such an adaptor with a HIFI home system (not for auto). Was thinking of buying this.

Why not buy a DAB tuner which can also stream bluetooth audio or has a built in webplayer (e.g. Spotify, Tune in). Personally I prefer a webplayer with something like Tune-in because then you can hear all the usual Swiss DAB stations as well as radio stations from around the globe.
The thing is I want to use it with my Technics HIFI system
I dont know what are the inputs of this thing, but a few years ago I dabbled with a Raspberry PI with a DigiOne “hat”. Installing something like Volumio on it and then you can stream any radio you want and can control it via your phone, laptop or browser.
It has AV inputs so he/she is good to go. We’re not talking high fidelity sound, so even a 3.5mm headphone cable with L/R AV outputs will work.
Something like this will do the job.
you can read more about it here
P.S I’ve never heard of this company or used such a product, but it seems a better option than a standalone DAB receiver.
Ah, it has RCA plug in, so the DigiOne would be an awesome thing. It will transform your old system into a modern streamer as any free OS you install (like Volumio) has not only free radio, but also Spotify, Roon, Apple, etc plugins.
You can also check the Ruark R1 which has DAB, DAB+ and FM tuners. I used to have the MR1s and they were astonishingly good speakers. A true British Hi Fi thing.
Another worthy mention is Revo, a Scottish company producing works of art. I had a Revo SuperConnect for several years before moving to a multi-room Sonos set up.
Well I really want the same quality sound as previously. (UKW). FM quality.
If you read the reviews of the one I posted, most seem to be positive regarding sound quality. And it doesn’t cost much more than the one you referenced.
Amazon has some bad reports from this.
