I'm off tomorrow to ski for a day in Klewenalp (small but rather beautiful little resort near Luzerne) and though it may be short notice for tomorrow I was wondering if there are any other potential midweek skiers out there who have the desire and capability for day trip skiing from around Basel in the future? I am quite happy being out on my own but meeting new friends or company is always fun. I would describe my ski level as "can get down pretty much any slope on/off piste but it's rarely stylish or technical!"
I sometimes take a day off to go skiing. Often at Klewenalp, also at Engelberg and, in Germany, Feldberg and Belchen. My skis are in for repair at the moment however, so can't join you tomorrow.
I can get down most slopes, but prefer to have fun than be challenged.
Coach trip to Halsiberg for 65CHF (incl ski pass) see website above..1.5 hrs from basel.
I plan to go from Basel SBB on the Sunday if the trip goes ahead (sometimes cancelled due lack of interest, and you get an email on the fri or Sat before hand)
I'm not in the Basel area but usually am up for heading out from Lucerne on a weekend for a day trip. (Hasliberg, Melschee Frutt, Engelberg, Sorenberg, Andermatt have been some in the past. Although I'm always keen to try new places)
You're welcome to join sometime from Basel if it suits.
Your on-piste skills sound similar to mine (although I probably have even less style! ) but I'm not an off-piste skier....yet.
Price includes travel and ski lift pass...so I assume that if you don't ski then you can't use T bar's or button lifts...but I don't see why you can't use the other lifts...
Hi all, I am a relatively recent resident of Basel and am thinking of heading down to Saanenland on Sunday (29 Jan). Has anyone actually used the Erich Saner service yet?
Also, If any EF'ers care to give it a shot, let me know.
I do a lot of day trips skiing from Basel - I have a website on the subject as it happens. www.swisswintersports.co.uk . The page on getting around has times and prices for ski resorts from Basel. I was thinking of doing Airolo or Hoch-Ybrig tomorrow, probably taking a train about 6am if you're up for it.
Hi there, anyone up for a day trip to Schwarzwald this wnd? If there is someone with a car would be best, and ski pass in Feldberg is only 22 euro which is a hell of a deal!
Actually it is 28 EUR, which is still a hell of a deal, so it's been totally packed for the past few weeks. Still like Feldberg quite a lot. (Well, 28 EUR is the adult price - if you're a teen, the ticket is 22 EUR).
