Actually, I just noticed that Basel store will open only in 28 November..
I`m thinking about going to Neuchatel or Mulhouse.. it`s the same distance from me . Although, I think the Mulhouse store would have more products and bigger store..
Prices will be lower in France. Plus, if you can be arsed, you may be able to claim back the VAT.
Be aware that there are two shops around Mulhouse - the one at Kingersheim is the huge one, at least four or five times the floor space of the other Mulhouse one, and indeed if the one close to us in Collombey. Anyone know how the other Swiss ones compare, size-wise?
The prices are pretty much the same between the Swiss and French stores so I wouldn’t bother travelling a larger distance to France to go to a store. It’s certainly not worth our while to go to Pontarlier for the Decathlon when there is one of the same size right on the doorstep.
If I was equidistant between a French and Swiss store then I would probably choose the French one as they are generally larger stores.
I did a spot check in their online stores of some trousers I was looking at recently. UK was £29.99, France EU 29.99, Switzerland chf40. It's probably fairly representative of the difference, from what I've seen in store. So it really depends on how much you're buying.
I wonder if anyone else has experienced this problem on the website of Decathlon. The customer reviews look like they are being loaded but the load process is never finished and the gray squares are shown instead. I activated third party cookies and deactivated my AdBlock, but it didn't help. Both in Chrome and in Edge, on PC and Android. Is it the same for you?
