What is the name of this services?
Hi All, I cannot remind how they are called this service based in Germany (at the border with Switzerland) where you can send delivery for example from Amazon and then you can go to take it up. One was in Eglisau.

Have a search on the forum, it is mentioned several times (can‘t remember the name).
There are so many companies around the border areas who offer this service. We use Swiss Paket in Jestetten which are good, costs depend on size of package received. There are plenty of options though, have a search!

There are 2 in Hohentengen and one in Lottstetten.
When ordering from Amazon depending on the item it might be possible to have it shipped to an Amazon locker in Germany. The advantage with this is you can avoid the package fee charged by the paket shop.
I've done this with Amazon Germany and Amazon Italy.
Someone in Basel had recommended LAS-Burg to me. I haven’t used it myself so I can’t recommend it, but it looks like a fairly straightforward process.

Does Amazon have any lockers nearby? Does the Italian post do poste restante?
Amazon has several places close to the border that you can have their orders shipped to. Just go with a non-Swiss ID as they will charge you ca. 10 EUR

DHL also have package collection from boxes (used to be a personal service), been thinking of using this for some time now (but not shopped in Germany for some time. To do this you'll need a German SIM card in a phone for the SMS messages. Will get a pre-pay in Germany at some stage for this purpose.
I don't know about Chiasso, but I use a place in Lavena Ponte Tresa.

The only other locations I could find were in Gallarate or Lissone (soon), but both of those are quite a trek from Chiasso.

From the website it looks like they have several locations in Como and area.
Amazon probably also have boxes in the area. They have several in the Ponte Tresa/Luino area, so I should imagine that Como would be no different. Shipping from Amazon.it to an Italian Amazon box is free (but it has to be shipped by Amazon and not a third party).
There are a bunch of Amazon Lockers in Como - I think you can deliver there. Don't remember exactly how quick you have to pick them up, I believe 2-3 days
