I took my wife to a dentist across the German border in Bietingen yesterday, because she kept seeing it advertised on buses and trams being “only 45 minutes from Zürich”. Took more than an hour and over 100 to rent a car for 24 hours
I see many nearer in Jetstetten, which is only 40 direct by SBahn. Does anyone have experience of the ones in Jetstetten, quality/price?
I can say positive things with Dr. Hager across the border near Schaffhausen. Not sure if this is the same place you are referring to.
I used to go to his office regularly and had good experience.
Yes that’s him. Seems ok, but a bit of a trek. My wife wants 2 veneers on the front, and an implant on a missing one further back. She paid circa 3.5k euro. Our friends and I all said she doesn’t need them. What price vanity?! ![]()
What can say are these:
- His prices where cheaper than Swiss dentists.
- The work he did, dentists in other parts of the world looked at the x-rays and asked who did this work of art and where.
To me, the latter spoke of the quality and reliability of the work. Specially in relation to healthcare.
I know of other people who tried medical dentistry work in other countries and they did not have such a positive experience.
It’s up to ya’ll to decide 'who decides what work is to be done … ’ Vanity is non-professional and friends, not the dentist, deciding what healthcare needs are …
good thing not cheap; cheap thing not always good …
I go to Hafner & Grosse since 2009 (in Jestetten).
How much for a filling? My wife’s treatment was a bit more expensive
