I'm guessing some double sided foil ultra-sticky tape might do the job. Or something else? Any ideas? And what the local brands might be!
Do I need it all though - seeing as the worktop is granite? Or does it protect the dishwasher as well?
The new dishwasher I've got has a condensation strip to be fitted. The only issue is that it's to be screwed into the underside of the worktop - which is granite, so not very screwable...
Can you just glue it?

It will probably be protecting the wooden/mdf cabinets more.
I'd use double-sided tape (the foam one). Get one suitable for use in a area with moisture.
I've used outdoor double sided tape on almost everything in my apartment - the strength of it is quite astonishing.
I got it from Jumbo in Claraplatz, the brand is TESA and it's called Powerbond Outdoor Double-face. Presumably the 'outdoor' component means it would be suitable for an area that is going to experience moisture.
It also doesn't appear to leave a residue when you remove it. I highly recommend this one.
NAT the condensation strip should not be used if you have a Granit worktop. A foamrubber seeling between the maschine and the worktop should be in place.
We have granite worktops and there is no strip installed on the underside of them where the dishwasher is. The dishwashers are both Miele.
Is this new dishwasher the model where the door pops open when it is finished? These are awful. I had a client with one and this burst of steam can do damage to the surfaces nearby. If you want to empty the dishwasher immediately after it has stopped, opening the door fully will allow the steam to escape into the room. I run the dishwasher at night ( electricity is less expensive only after 10pm where we live) and by the morning it is cool inside.
TESA makes the best tapes (for a variety of applications) I've ever used, even some supposedly cutting-edge brands...I'm looking at you, 3M!.
