I have had my doctor round and he has given me a sick note. Does my daughter need one for a week off. We are in Zurich

This week both me and my 8 year old daughter have been sick. Vomiting, headaches etc
My son is now 10 years old, and we have never shown or have had to show a sick note to his teacher(s). We simply send his teacher a text or email to inform her that he will not be in school because he is sick. (We are in kanton Zurich). However, with that said, he has never had to miss a full week of school before.

For periods longer than three days, children should present a doctor’s note confirming the reason and recovery period.
