I’ve got a stick-on sleeve stuck to the back of my iPhone case, just the right size for an ID card and a CC or two. Hotel room keys too.
I use it for parking, markets, sending money to people. Generally find it useful. Just transitioned to ubs from CS and I find many of their apps and interfaces weird.
We’re finding the same. The UBS stuff is far worse than the CS stuff was, not liking it much thus far.
Really? It is not fantastic but I find it still acceptable.
Yes, they put a whole load of advertising stuff in. The thing I want to use (access transaction history) I now have to scroll down to reach because they want to push their adverts ahead of core functionality.
are you using Android? On my iphone 16, sure there is an add at the top but I generally don’t need to scroll to use the functions I need. (the “pay with QR code” button is floating).
The web interface is clean. Is the UBS app that bad?
The UBS banking apps and the UBS TWINT app are different, but I find them all okay.
Android.
It was OK until a recent update.
Now the top 1/3 of the screen is taken up with UBS logo and a massive advert carousel promoting various things.
Then a space about 1/2 the size of the advert is for send and receive buttons.
Then the next space the same size as the adverts is for ‘partner functions’ which seems to be:
- parking
- spin and win
- digital vouchers
- superdeals
Then I have to scroll past all that to get to the button for transactions.
In the prior version, the transaction had its button in the top menu bar.
I see. I only use twint for parking and scanning QRs, either online or in shops.
Anything more important can wait for working with the laptop and 2 extra displays.
You can use a widget. The UBS widgets have at least one that gives quick access to transactions.
Thanks. It took up more space on my homescreen, but at least i have an alternative now.
I also complained so let’s see if the developers make any changes.
Not sure what’s happening with you, on mine the ad and send zones are the same size and the view transactions button is easily visible. Might help the latter a tad that I have a 6.7" screen…
Wasn’t hot on UBS twint when I got forced over from CS but either by update or learning my usage I now find it fine.
