Does a B-Permit also put you at risk of loosing your US Green Card?
As far as I know you loose your US Green Card if you become permanent resident in another country...which means C-Permit in Switzerland. Is this correct?
Isn ́t it void anyway if you stay abroad (as in not in the US) for longer than 364 days?
Why not ask a US group?
Because it's all "me me me" in here?
Oh stop drawing attention to yourself.
I would evaluate your watch skills as impressive, but this is the wrong thread.
The heat has melted my brain. Delete as you wish.
Well... US doesn’t care about your Swiss permits, and you may even enter the US on your expired green card (out of experience). The best way is to return it, because while you are in possession - you are a US person with all tax implications. So your Swiss bank has an obligation to send docs to IRS on yearly basis.
One can be Swiss and have a green card.
But having another nationality (which obvs all green card holders do) is different to being resident in another country & therefore not resident in the USA.
No.
My friend, who is Swiss, had to actively renounce his expired green card.

My wife had this issue several years ago. She was a green card holder for approx. 15 years. Once we relocated to France she was told she could keep the card for two years maximum - at which point she would be required to turn it in. I think that also involved her filing a paper with the govt. after the first year abroad to enable a year's extension.
Did she move to France as a permanent resident/French passport holder?
