Do you need a Einzelfirma to do freelancing in Switzerland? I'm currently unemployed and getting full unemployment support but got an offer to do 2month of work as freelancer.
I have heard you get no AV when having an Einzelfirma. So can i do the freelancing work without opening the Einzelfirma? And continue AV insurance after my contract?
Would be stupid to reject 2years unemployment insurance to do a 2month contract.
PS. I have the permanent swiss visa.
You are a Einzelfirma/Sole proprietorship when you do freelancing and are not actually employed by a company. There is nothing to be "opened" as it is by definition and law.

But you can also work for your own GmBH/Sarl or AG/SA.
For the social security obligations check the Social Security Office of your canton. https://svazurich.ch/unsere-produkte...rwerbende.html
PS: I think instead of AHV (old age insurance) you mean AV (unemployment insurance). Once you get AHV because of old age you will get it until you die. You can still work w/o loosing your AHV benefit.
When you get AV benefits and you can suspend it when you have temporary work, this will prolong your Rahmenfrist. Which is good.
PPS: I think you have a permit and not a visa.
Ok, thank you, but do i need to open an Einzelfirma to work for 2 months and then close it again to get unemployment benefits? Was not clear if i really need to open a company.
You just need to register with the AHV at some point for part time self employment which is fine when with the RAV, Min AHV payment is about 500
