Do you tip delivery people?

Having furniture delivered and built today, do I tip the men?

Thanks,

When we had our furniture delivered and put together we had already paid for the service, i tipped them in lots of coffee, and biscuits

That was my thinking thank you, have also paid a lot for the service!

Your welcome, and the service is not cheap, buy some special expensive nice biscuits, or Chocolate chip cookies from the Aldi yummy

I would be inclined to tip, epsecially if they do a good job and take away all the packaging and the old furniture.

We had a delivery a few weeks ago, they did a good job, and took all the rubbish away with them, and they was happy with coffee, and biscuits. They do get paid to do there job, and i paid alot for the service in the first place

" Here's a tip; don't drop my new shelving unit! "

Seriously, though, I haven't tipped delivery men. Like Sutter I normally offer them some refreshment (have a couple of cold beers in the fridge, for example, or some coffee on the go) but I have never heard of tipping.

Would you tip them in England ?

I didn't tip a group of 4 who delivered and set up my furniture but I did when I ordered a special heavy duty work bench (80x250x5cm) for my hobby room downstairs in the basement. It's only a few steps but the driver (who was alone) helped me carry the thing into my hobby room so I gave him 10.-chf. for his help.

If they are the owners of the company, I would be inclined to

offer coffee, beer, cola, etc.

If they are the small guy with no ownership, I would be inclined

to tip.

Question: Do you all tip pizza delivery guys? I usually tip them

1-2 CHF.

Only if no slices are missing...

Well they turned down my coffee and biccies, but I felt too bad so gave them a small tip!

Tipped for simply doing their job? Madness. I hope you guys all tip cashiers at the checkout when they get your food to the end of the conveyor belt without breaking anything... right?

How long was they there for?

LOL

Are you related to this guy?

Castro the link won`t play.

Just click on the vid a second time and it'll open in a new window and play..

Fixed it for you

Nope, but I agree with every word he says.

You will more likely to find something is broken. then you will be in mood for tipping...

How many of you ever had a removal done without anything lost/broken?
