Does interrupted stay counts for regular naturalization?

Hi All,

I lived in Geneva for 6 months (permit B), then moved to France (permit G) and then at some point (2 years) back to Switzerland where I have lived for 8.5 years (last 7 years in the municipality where I am now-permits B & then C).

My question is: do these first 6 months count towards the 10 year requirement? It doesn't make much of a difference, but it would obviously be nice if I could apply earlier

As long as you were on B a permit, they count.

Not on L permit.

But always check with the Gemeinde.

And you need to have C before applying.

Yes, I had two stays separated by 3 years abroad. They counted all the years—both before and after the foreign stay.
