Does Student B permit count on applying for the Swiss Nationality

Hello guys,

I am a NON-EU citizen and hold a Swiss B permit. I studied 4 years at one of the Swiss universities. Then I found a job and have been working for nearly 5 years and I still have a B permit. I passed the German test and will apply for the C permit very soon. My question is: The years I spent as a student in the university with the B permit, would they count when applying for the Swiss nationality? Or should I only count the years when I started my job?

Your answers would be very much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Please search the forum next time, this has been answered to death.

Your student years count for naturalization.

You are right. I am sorry about that. I have searched. However, I cant remember where I have read that years spent as a student with B Permit do not count when it comes to the Swiss nationality. I just wanted to make sure. Also I could not find this piece of information in the Swiss Admin site.
