Good dog care is difficult to find in Switzerland, so I wouldn't put too much emphasis on location. If you can find caring, responsible care near you, great. But don't compromise in favor of distance, be willing to look several hours farther afield.
Be aware that the better places often are booked out well in advance, especially if you are looking to travel during the school holidays, summer, Christmas.
Good luck with the search!
ETA:
Another FYI, it seems that several dog pensions require the nasal KC vax, the combi vax isn't enough. So if your dog has not yet had that, speak to your vet.
Also, is this for the puppy you wrote about in an earlier thread? If so, how old will she be when you need care? I ask because if it is, and if your pup is still quite young, you might consider private care in someone's home. One place to find a private sitter is Petsitting24:
You have to take out a membership in order to contact a sitter, but it's inexpensive.
Same caveat applies when using a private sitter - responsible folks are difficult to find, be prepared to do extensive due diligence!
Today I booked the last place available for Christmas for Robin Goodfellow. March, and Christmas is already booked out!
Now, I should note that Robin is a special case; there is only one Tierheim in Switzerland that provides what he needs and might be able to accomodate him (we are still in the Probeauftenhalt process to see if they will accept him), and one in Germany.
If your pup is well trained and sweet, able to get along with other dogs, children, and cats, and does not need any special handling you will likely have less trouble finding a place in a Tierheim, and much less trouble finding a private sitter. Nonetheless, if you are planning on Christmas 2021 travel, best get cracking.
I bring this up because I left it this late due to COVID travel restrictions. I had booked a year's worth of travel in January 2020... and we all know how that turned out. However, I still paid for the accomodation I could not use. Hence my waiting so long this year. It's still a gamble, but one I had to take. If you are uncertain of travel in 2021, read the T&Cs carefully.

The other thing you should understand that might be a bit of a surprise is Swiss pricing.
Depending on the Tierheim, prices can range from ca. CHF 40 to CHF 250 per day. There is usually a basic day rate, and for some places that is still all-inclusive. But I am increasingly seeing some places charge extras such as individual (as opposed to group) walks, medicine dispensation, mental stimulation/play, training, grooming, separately. You select which extras you wish, and pay accordingly.
Private sitter prices can range widely as well, depending on whether the sitter takes the dog into his or her house (most common model) or whether the sitter moves into your house (much harder to find.) Prices generally run from CHF 50-500 per day, average for care in the sitter's house probably around CHF 100, in yours probably around CHF 250.
It's more common that a private sitter charges by the hour, with an average of CHF 15-25 per hour.
ETA:
It is also more common that a private sitter works as your employee. Few are set up in business for themselves.
If your pup is easygoing and well socialized you will probably be able to use sitters who are less 'professional', or those who take in several dogs at a time or have a dog of their own, and thus charge less.

A few Efers have used Trusted Housesitters, which I believe is an exchange rather than a fee-based service. If your dog is very easy to care for and can be left for longer portions of the time, perhaps that might be an alternative. If you search you'll find a couple of mentions of this option in various threads, perhaps then PM those posters for further information. The reason I bring this option up is that often these are people looking for a holiday in Switzerland; you might find someone if you need holiday care when other sitters and Tierheim are all booked out. But do make sure you understand what the relationship is, and isn't.

Hope you find a good Tierheim or private sitter - just be aware of the need to book early for holidays.
Good luck!
