Hi all,
Does anyone know where you can purchase\try dog meat? Shop or metzgerei? I know locals eat it in some parts of Appenzell. Been eager to try!
Jess
It's legal to eat it, but it's illegal to sell it.
Tom

Yeah I know but they don't come running at the door when you come home all excited to see you. Dogs are a mans best friend. I used to have a horse would never eat horse meat either.
I grew up with dogs too. I love dogs. I love animals in general. That doesn't mean they are inedible.
And yes I would slaughter an animal for food.
So no knowledge on where I could get some dog meat?
Why don't you try a butcher shop in the Appenzell region.??
Barking up the wrong tree here OP, unlikely to fetch much support I would imagine
Take a walkies and find elsewhere
As I said, it's illegal to sell it, so you'll have to slaughter it yourself, or find someone to do it for free (or find someone to do it under the table).
Tom
Well I guess I will have to butcher one myself. Anyone have any puppies for sale? Preferably milk fed.
i have similar feelings in switzerland when i see "horse meat" in the market... these animals are as intelligent as dogs, why would you eat them?
and if you do, why don't eat dogs as well?
What with slaughtering cows, eating dogs and horses .... I just hope no one has a litter of unwanted kittens and a barrel full of rainwater.
