Floyd and I enjoy trick teaching and dog games a lot. It's a fun way to keep the minds of our furry friends well exercised and it makes them tired too. Therefore I thought it would be nice to share what kind of tricks you taught your dog or which games you use to keep his brains jogging. I am always looking for new ideas.
One of my favourite tricks I taught Floyd is to close the front door. Very useful as my cat sometimes opens it 20 times in one evening (I didn't teach her that ) and I got tired of always getting up to close it.

This game consists of an empty pet bottle with holes in it through which I put a bamboo stick. A treat is placed in the bottle and the dog has to learn that he has to turn the bottle upside down to get the treat.

A nice game is to roll some treats into a blanket and then have doggy unroll it to find them.

Now I am looking forward for your ideas
Unfortunately, I have an old dog.
My last dog was a rescue corgixjack russell who was so smart.
Because of my security system when I went out I used to put her in my daughter's room as you could shut the door firmly and I knew she would not trigger the system.
A couple of times I would get home and she would be sitting on the stairs up to the next floor looking sheepish and I first thought it was me going crazy and forgetting to put her in the room.
When it happened again, I examined the room and discovered that she was pulling a string on a bag that was hanging on the door - it would have been quite hard to do that.
As I had blown her cover I removed the bag and put her in the room and went out. When I returned I thought that I had been visited by intruders as the room was thrashed!! All my daughters college work had been ripped and shreaded and the mess was incredible.
She must have been so mad that we had discovered her trick
