We are looking for some companions to go for walks around Altstetten (8048, Zürich).
Our German Sheperd-Mix (Heidi) needs some friends and after being here for 1.5 years, she is becoming really anxious not having any dog contact, or just watching other dogs from across the street.
She was used to be surrounded by other dogs during the first 3.5 years of her life and we really feel she is getting anxious and frustrated.
So, we would love to go for walks with some other dogs and maybe try to socialize them a little bit if we feel comfortable about it.

Hi, It's not in Altstetten but have you tried Allmendwiese by Sihlcity? It is a good place to find large dogs to play with off lead, particularly by the coffee stand next to the river.

Would love to but the thing is, she is not used anymore to “find” or encounter large dogs off leash, so she gets really scared and anxious..
This doesn’t happen if she get’s introduced in a proper distance, by walking or playing around.
That’s why I am looking for some other dog owners to walk together

If you don’t find like-minded dog owners for casual walks, have you thought about something a bit more structured?
Many dog schools offer group social walks. You might find something like this of interest.
Since you mention that your dog gets scared and anxious in a more ‘free for all’ situation like a dog park, a structured walk with other dogs/owners, guided by the trainer, with an eye towards social interaction appropriate for each dog’s current needs, might be beneficial to your pup at this stage.
