I would like to attend a drawing/painting course in Zurich in English or Spanish (preferably portrait courses, but I'm open to anything). I wonder if anyone could recommend any course? Thanks a lot!

I have been enquiring for painting/drawing classes in Zurich for the last 2-3years..I couldn't find one..

Thanks a lot for the answer! Do you know if there are some classes in English in the Migros school?

I don't think they have classes in English...but u can anyway enquire...

I took a class from Kathryn Bard. She has Multiart Studio in Herrliberg.

Thanks a lot everyone for all the tips and recommendations!

Some friends attended this course and speak highly of it, I think they continued to more advanced lessons.

English artist Joanne Finnegan holds painting classes that are a lot of fun http://www.joannefinnegan.com/#!simplypaint/cfvg

I've never taken classes with her but our landlord is an awesome lady in Thalwil and she does painting classes as well: http://www.hui-ling.com/

Anyone know someone who does drawing or sketching tutoring around Zug/Zurich? Interested in small class or private lessons, mostly on weekends.

For those living around Lake Zurich, there is a drawing and art teacher in Stäfa called Emily Hildebrand who despite the name is an American born native english speaker. She studied Art at university, did her apprenticeship with well known artists, is an accomplished artist and for the me the real proof, I really like her Art. Thats a personal thing, but for me a factor in choosing my art teacher.

She has brought me from zero to hero fairly quickly, considering I have never had art lessons before starting with her less that a year ago. As amazon Might say of a review, "verified purchase"

Her website is.

She jsut Replied to me. Some additional info: gives a morning class on Tuesday and Friday 10 to 12. The Tuesday class has at the moment both English and Spanish speakers in it, currently they do drawing and mixed media (which includes some painting) in that class. Friday is oil painting and some drawing
