Apparently., the guy lived in Switzerland (Verbier), someone may have known him around here.
Blick shows the car in 1 piece, blue BMW 325i (E90) with white and yellow stripes. The sad part is that the only visible damage in on the driver’s door. The worst that could happen during a pile up of several cars happened. Mr. Senior Racer, RIP.
Only hope there are some safety improvements after the investigation.

Reminder of the dangers, too many people take the Nurbergring for granted.
I had a friend who crashed there trying to keep up with the “Nurburgring taxi”, his car was badly damaged but he had no injuries.
My best time there was ten and half minutes which is weeks slower than the fastest.
