Easy remove number plate holder recommendation

Hi,

I used a towbar-mount bike carrier for the first time on Saturday and needed to remove the number plate on my car that's been in situ for 4.5 years. The result was 30 minutes of cursing and a mostly broken plate holder on my car.

Is there a better one I can buy which makes removing the plate a breeze?

I did once see someone with a bike carrier and plate on both the car and also the carrier. I thought you were only allowed one plate for reasons of [something]?

Else is there a workaround to allow a second plate?

Thanks,

Andy

The inexpensive number plate holders sold in DIY shops such as Migros Brico-Loisirs can be opened easily without special tools.

Magnetic plate holders sold here... perfect for swiss plates and switching between cars that use the same number plate

(just need to train the OH not to keep forgetting to actually put on the the plate before driving off ...)

I use the Migros ones on all of mine (I have four sets of swappable plates).

I got a plastic one at the Migros. Couple of screws to fix it to the car and the plate snaps in. (With a little effort).

Have been using these for sometime now and it works very well. Very easy to remove and attach.

Another recommendation of Perfect Click. I've used them for years. They are expensive, though.

The model I have is from Würth. Super easy to change.
