Easyjet booking problem

Just wondering if it is just me or if others are unable to book a flight on Easyjet today.

After choosing destination and passengers, sometimes I get an error before the flight selector. Another time I get an error after choosing the flights.

Yet another time, I get redirected to booking.com!

I got the same error ā€œWe’re sorry somethign has gone wrongā€ several times booking with Lufthansa and Swiss – if you are booking a ā€˜last seat price’ sometimes that tariff is not anymore available after that error… I also noticed that if you are booking around midnight, they change the tariffs every day, so the system seems to ā€˜glympse’ sometimes. at least for me!

I tried a few times today across multiple computers. In the end I had to book just a few minutes ago using my work laptop.

Could be a Linux compatibility problem as all the previous attempts were on various browsers on Linux computers.

I don’t like the new Swiss website. It is so slow. Once I got and error and I managed somehow to do an empty booking with a booking code but without any ticket. I had to call the support and it was surprisingly easy to reach a living person without any need to convince an AI to connect me with someone, despite late hours. So I got necessary help and information, which was good.

I missed so many good offers in my life, not only for flight tickets, because I didn’t manage to compete the purchase before midnight.

I definitely saw that error a few times when I was booking my last trip to the UK, but I had several tabs open, trying different options, routes, baggage etc. Was a complicated trip, GVA to Manchester or Liverpool, then return from the Isle of Man via any mainland airport. And I really wanted to take my guitar with me, but it turned out to be too big (the case) for cabin baggage and I didn’t trust them to not damage it if I checked it in.

Sorry, TMI, but each time I saw the message I would just reload the relevant tab before trying again, as it seemed evident that it was getting confused by my contradicting options in different tabs. So could it perhaps have been something similar?

One particular problem-causer was when I was looking at the options of booking the round trip, i.e. both flights together for the return trip, which actually takes you to a different website which doesn’t work in quite the same way (and turned out to be more expensive). So yet another tab open, potentially conflicting.

But yeah, I’d close and reload the browser, go as directly as possible to the required flight, then any cached information should have been wiped.
