Not sure if you still need help. But maybe this helps to understand the problem:
When I look at the ETH website they say that the required minimum scores are either Pass with Honors (A or 840) or Pass (B or 750).
According to the ECPE wesite there is as well a "low pass" (C or 650). I guess ETH does not accept a "low pass" but only a "pass" or "pass with honors". I guess that's why you need a grade on your certificate.
ETH has replied:
I am sorry for the confusion, we seem to have been misinformed about the issuing of new certificates. Indeed, the certificates themselves do not include a more detailed score. However, they are accompanied by an examination report (please see the link below), on which the scores for all four sections are mentioned. In order to fulfil ETH's English language requirements, a score of at least B is required for Writing and Speaking and a score of at least 750 for Listening and GCVR. Please submit your examination report so that we can evaluate the scores for the individual sections.

The funny thing is that I have ALSO sent them my examination results and I had no LP there
After a month of epic negotiations, they have finally accepted my certificate as I had initially sent it...
