We are planning to move to Basel in the next few months and we are looking at various options for chldcare/school for our son (2 yrs old)
At 2 years old you're worrying about this now !!!
You really got nothing esle more important to worry about, get over here then check it put and of course it all depends on which ones have places anyway.
If Basel is anything like Zurich for getting childcare, you need to be making enquiries as soon as you know you are moving. There are probably waiting lists as long as your arm.
If both parents are working, they'll be snookered if they arrive here with nowhere to put the child.
To the OP, I would ring around them all and see what they say. Spend a week here before you make the move for real and arrange some visits.
Also look at Globegarden. There are mixed reviews about it but it could be one to add to your list.
Do you need full time or part time? Open Door in Basel is fab (or certainly was 2 years ago) but only open in the mornings as it is more of a playgroup. English speaking.
Quick plug for Sunshine Playschool . Just another choice!
