My husband has completed 10 years in Switzerland and would be applying for naturalisation. I have been married to him and living in Suisse since 7 years.
My question is - am I eligible to apply with him ? Since I havent completed 10 years, I am not sure
As far as I know, no, you're not yet eligible, but that shouldn't stop your husband from applying if he has his C permit and 10 years in CH (and you applying in three years). In any case, the authorities now assess every applicant's dossier separately, even if they apply as a unit.
No, unfortunately you are not eligible to apply with him.
He can apply on his own and it is not necessary to include spouse in the application for naturalization. In fact, anyone can apply individually or as members of a family. For example, I know of many cases where only one parent and the kids applied for the citizenship.
It was possible under the old Swiss nationality law (it was enough for only one spouse to have lived in CH for 12 years, the other could do with 3 or 5, I don't remember) but the law change in 2018 put an end to that.
