Emma matratze scam - delay tactics and no product

After reading a few online reviews and seeing their fast delivery I purchased a mattress for my new apartment on the 21 November, 3 weeks after chasing them via email and over the phone they informed me they are out of stock and MAY be able to deliver this Friday.

I've asked for a refund twice over the last week and received no response. So the reviews are fake and judging from the latest Google reviews I am not the only one who has been caught out on this.

I received a customer satisfaction survey from their American counterparts who informed me that they are not associated with the Swiss arm so have removed my review from their website. Convenient and absolutely misrepresenting their services.

Stay the away!

Did they give you a delivery date when you ordered? 3 weeks doesn't sound that long, to be fair.

There are so many good places to buy a good matress. Why would one buy from these Emma people!

If you purchase online and need fast delivery then it is better to check directly with the supplier before placing your order.

Laws in Switzerland very much favour of the on-line seller so if you cancel your order within a couple of weeks then you might only get some of your money back.

You need to read the Seller's terms and conditions to understand your rights.

Reading the terms and conditions on one of the sites that sells these mattresses they comply with German laws rather than Swiss so you are in a better situation. They even have an online form for you to complete if you want to withdraw.

I do not know if this is the site you bought from.

BTW, this site has the right to delay delivery by up to 4 weeks.

It sucks that they don't answer when you reach out to them. But 3 weeks seems quite reasonable to me.

@Soundgrounder, Delivery was to be 3 to 4 working days, according to their website, and is also the advice they emailed me, which is the sole reason I ordered this bed. The lack of response has me concerned and it seems I am not the only one. Their US counterparts who are willing to accept positive reviews from Switzerland but will remove less than positive reviews then distance themselves from their Swiss arm was the final straw for me.

Thanks for looking into this, that was informative. I'll continue to follow up with them. And they do have a 100% money back policy, but given their failure to deliver on 'promised' delivery timeframes, I'm not too sure will occur. I do feel this is in contravention of consumer rights, but what are your thoughts?

Better do some research before ordering: https://www.20min.ch/finance/news/st...durch-28285661

They only show an estimated delivery date, they don't make promises and are still within legal minimum/maximum terms. So just wait before you start talking about consumer rights.

Had real delivery issues from stuff ordered from Beliani. Advertised 2-3 weeks delivery, take the money on order- then excuse, after excuse, missed date after missed dates. Stuff coming from Poland and not actually in stock at time of order ... both times took 6 weeks, and 3 or 4 missed delivery dates. Never again. Reported to Bon à Savoir. Got a free lamp out of the in compensation ...but just not good enough. Wrong product information too

How did you pay them, credit card? If so you can generally do a charge back.

Thread resurrection ..

Any recent experience? I impulse purchased on Friday night.. Email said delivery in two days.. account says shipping yesterday.. no further updates.

Reviews online seem to say they are ok until you need to return or refund something.... then it's a living nightmare. Good luck.

I should have probably read the facebook page which I'm reading now.. Impossible to contact them, no customer service, late deliveries, damaged goods.. Oh dear..
