I need to vent my anger here. I was looking for a cleaning company for my flat handover. I saw that Diamond Cleaning was highly recommended on this forum.
So I went on the website of what I thought is this company. At the end of the process of filling out the details about my flat, the page showed a price of 770 CHF and when I received the confirmation email it was 1,073 CHF! The order was apparently binding, and they didn't want to cancel it after I spoke to someone on the phone. Instead the lady proposed a "correction" of the price to 800 CHF, saying she would send me an email. Which she didn't.
It turns out this company is not even Diamond Cleaning, but Diamond Clean. The owner of Diamond Cleaning told me that the other company stole his name, and even the logos are almost identical!
Anyway, I sent a bunch of emails today and tried to call to cancel the order, no respose. Apparently their AGB states that if you cancel more than 14 days in advance you have to pay 30%, if less than 14 days - 60%.
To me, this is a huge scam.
My insurance company said it would be difficult for them to prove that I agreed to their terms without my actual signature. If they proceed with the enforcement, they wouldnt succeed, although it would show up in my enforcement register.
Long story short: stay away from Diamond Clean!!!
