Moved recently to the Zurich area (close to Horgen) and am looking for a local english bookshop. Any suggestions? have seen the ones in Zurich, but want more local and personalized shop?

Try forum member 'swisscath' - she has a book shop in the back of her home in Adliswil - you can PM her and organise to do a 'private viewing' of the books, and her prices are very reasonable.
Otherwise, Orrell Fussli (chain store) have an english bookshop in the Bahnhofstrasse (most of their stores are only German books)...
It can be cheaper to buy online, and less hassles to order English books from Amazon.ch
Do a search on the forum for 'english bookshop' and I am sure you will get lots of similar suggestions

There was an English & French bookshop down at the end of Bahnhofstrasse near the the fur shops and the lake but I think it's closed down now *....(unless anyone knows if it's just moved location).
* as has the Erotic Bookstore near Sihlquai.
