English Speaking HQs in Switzerland

I searched for this.....thought it must have been asked before, but apparently not...

Which large multinational companies have HQ in Switzerland which are English speaking? I know of many companies....Unilever, Nestle, UEFA, Kraft, P&G etc etc, but don't know which are English speaking......

Any ideas?

Kraft and P&G are English speaking as far as I know. So is ABB. Unilever does not have its HQ in CH.

Thanks....is that a "best guess" or do you know?

I think Unilever has some HQ functions here....purchasing maybe?

Novartis & Roche

I for sure know ABB is headquartered here and they are English speakin.

Baxter (Healthcare) is english speaking too (right next to Kraft in Glattpark)

Unilever Supply Chain HQ is in Schaffhausen next to the station. English speaking.

That is true ABB HQs is in CH, but I am not fully convinced that it is still full english speaking company, the policy is being changed slowly in the last 3-4 years.

Unfortunetely they are more intended to hire german speaking employees

Credit Suisse and Swiss Re are Swiss companies, but English is the lingua franca.

Company language is still English. Especially at HQ in Oerlikon.

In Vaud - Honeywell in Rolle for definite (and probably a whole ton of others who are on the same business park, Yahoo, Nissan, etc); Philip Morris in Lausanne as far as I'm aware.

kodokan

Actelion & Abbott

Nestle is English Speaking in Vevey (and globally)

Syngenta is english speaking - HQ in Basel.

UBS of course, in fact any of the banks

Stupid question: What was wrong with the other English speaking companies thread / why does it need to be the HQ? Looking for a CEO position?

The collection of pharma/chemical firms in Basel such as Novartis, Roche, Syngenta, Ciba. I have friends at IKEA who speak no-Swiss. KPMG, PwC, etc. It's worth noting though that just because English is the corporate language of these organisations, some departments will be heavily local language speaking. Generally though at management level, from experience it seems to be more English.

I am also looking for the same....but ANY companies that operate in English would be great! I am coming from the UK as an Investigator and know I won't be able to do that there (in fact, I don't even think I want too), so am starting from scratch!

To mention one or two in my corner of the world,

Autodesk , headquartered out of CH by now but sure is English speaking. By the way they're hiring now for Telesales.

Baxter , I think its their European HQ which is here. Can't imagine them not being English speaking with their fabulous mix of employees.

Philip Morris , has become huge, but don't know whether English is their every day business language.

Celgene ...hum ... don't know.

Nearly all multinational companies that I know of have English as their language of "operations". That said, they still speak the local lingo in the corridors if no foreigners present.

This includes: Roche, Novartis, Ciba, DSM, Syngenta, Merck Serono, Amgen, Novo Nordisk, Basilea and Actelion to name a few.

You do, however, need to be careful, as if you plug into the Swiss affiliate you likely won't get English as the language of choice.
