If the child is under school age, then you can get a referral from the paediatrician and the health insurance will pay. If school age then the referral can come from the school psychologist for the Gemeinde where you live, even if the child is not attending local school

This is a private service and it is unlikely the insurance or Gemeinde will pay - but you can ask them what is possible.

it depends a lot on your budget. If you don't have thousands to spend, then I can talk you through how to get into the local system and advocate for your child to get additional support paid for by the IV, health insurance and/or Gemeinde.
The key questions are -
- how old is your child
- are they of compulsory school age
- were they born in Switzerland / do they have C permit or Swiss passport
- have you asked the Paediatrician for support
- do you have a confirmed diagnosis
- does your child go to the local school
- are they getting extra support from their school already ?
