I’ve just discovered this excellent website that seems to list most of the commercially available eSims for use abroad. Using filtering and sorting you can zero in on the one that best suits your needs e.g. no daily data cap or throttling for streaming. The price to data ratio field is also super helpful.
eSIMDB
Before I had been using either Airolo or Holafly solidly for years, but seems like I was over paying.
Although it looks very comprehensive, I cannot help noticing that the same 3-5 companies appear at the top results, seeming a bit suspicious.
I have no connection with any providers, but we have used in the past the eSims provided by SWISS (the airline) when visiting the USA… Found by googling, and because I “trusted” them somehow more - I didn’t like sharing all my browsing data with a random firm unknown to most people…
As a test, I compared. for USA, the SWISS 1 day bundle is CHF 3, for 7 days it is CHF 17 unlimited. (PS: I think their provider is “Breeze”)
On the comparison website, I chose “USA”, and “unlimited data” for 1 or 7 days. I get :
- For 7 days unlimited USA I get the cheapest: EtravelSim ($19), Roamify ($20), Yoho ($21), Yesim ($28).
- For 1 day unlimited USA the cheapest were: RedteaGo ($0.50 as part of trial), Yesim ($7.72), MTX ($11).
After that I stopped reading…

eSIMDB is a game changer for finding the best eSIM options. The filtering features really help narrow down choices, and the price-to-data ratio is invaluable
