Asking for a friend. EU B permit family, single breadwinner. The dad may move back to the UK for work. Is the wife entitled to stay in Ireland on EU B permit or she needs to move as well?

If you mean a Swiss B permit then why do either of them have those since I assume they’re both living in Ireland atm?

Absolutely not! If the wife holds an EU passport they can travel to Ireland for the purpose of occasional holidays or to seek and take up employment under the normal EU FMOP rules. Having had a Swiss B permit has no relevance.
If you mean Northern Ireland as opposed to Ireland, the it would be possible but only if she could identify as being Irish or British.
