Wow, this is beauracracy gone nuts! I could understand almost a central one-off registration, but this is ridiculous. Not to mention that it works off estimates rather than actual numbers.
The Swiss solution of charging a nominal recycling fee (as part of VAT perhaps) seems logical, I assume the EU either wants to create more government jobs or kill private sector ones.

The EU is developing in a very wrong direction… This development very much favors Switzerland, as we will gladly collect the tax substrate, but what’s the plan here? We could even think about liwering the needed capital thresholds or raising the VAT free profit threshold to boost smaller businesses.
The average american is now more than 2x as wealthy than the avg. EU citizen… This really is a shame, especially for the very wealthy countries, like Germany.
Israel is also about to overtake Germany btw. gotta be the greatest redemption ark in history…
The EU really needs their own SVP / FDP majority for some 20+y - most EU conservatives are just leftists in disguise with a 10y time delay.

The EU and NATO has given Europe one of the most peaceful and prosperous 70 years in a very long time.
The average american has to live in the USA. The disparities between rich and poor are liable to get worse in the near future.

SVP and FDP. I heard divorce proceedings are imminent. There is some discontent with half-baked initiatives and an inability to conform to the Swiss tradition of consensus politics. It is a matter of preserving the Swiss heritage.
EU conservatives are usually pragmatists rather than idealogical extremists. If that means being a leftist then so be it.

Small music labels that sell merchandise are rising the alarm. It won’t be possible to comply with the new regulations by selling 50 or 100 items per country per year. Prices will explode, people stops buying 
PS alternatively, the only place left to buy merchandise of music bands is when they tour around here.

The average American still lives better than the average German and imho the whole “the USA is a glorified 3rd world country” propaganda that’s going on is absolute nonsense. There are a lot of very rich, a lot of middle class and also a lot of poor people in the US (just like in the EU) - but the US economy is much more potent, which in the long term will lead to the phenomenon that the poor people in the US will have more than the middle class people in Germany/France, etc.
This whole socialist nonsense of “the wealth gap” is a nothing burger… if we just have more, we have way more than if we ideologically try to distribute things. I am always baffled when people in Switzerland - the wet dream of capitalism - people argue in favor of becoming more like the shitty countries surrounding them.
Without the center-right and right parties of Switzerland, we’d likely be in the EU, have 2x the tax burden and literally nothing else. Even worse, we might would already look like the UK or Germany… no thanks.
Sure, but I think it’s time to look beyond just doing the bare minimum (not killing each other).
The Israelis have their priorities straight. They built a whole country out of a desert shit hole with a GDP higher than the one of Germany… If they didn’t have to upkeep a military to not gen annihilated, who knows where they’d be in terms of QOL.
Then maybe someone can tell these pragmatists to halve the EU wide VAT, half the income and company taxes and cut down on nonsense regulations… Just today I found out about the EU warranty law and stickers, like come on, why is this EU legislation?

Wow, the EU protecting it’s own people against third country businesses, who are not under any obligation to comply with EU consumer law… The usual BREXIT BS - you won, deal with it.
Instead of acting in such a pompous manner, read the posts.
People aren’t complaining about the need to reduce waste created by the ever increasing requirements of online shopping but the fact that small businesses who may ship, for example, one package a year to Slovenia, will now need to pay around 900 euros to be able to do that.
Many if these businesses are one-person, or small family businesses who are going to be crippled by this
Nothing to do with Brexit but more of a badly thought-out set of rules, but with good intentions.

The whole idea that politics always has to take action (mainly react) to an ever changing life is an absolute stupid idea.
The way this plays out is, becoming a lawyer will become more and more difficult. And a loooot of useless administrative jobs that get created. Long term this is just a very stupid system to uphold. We should regularly simplify laws by either applying existing legal principles to them or creating new broad legal principles, so we don’t need 1000 new pages of law per year…

Politics is all about representing the voters and implementing their preferences, so you are the one that will just have to learn to chill.
Yeah, that must be why the EU doesn’t change its migration rules even though the population clearly wants that and has so for a long time. Because the EU listens intently!
If that’s listening to the population I don’t want to know what ignoring it results in.

I don’t think steadily regulating every aspect of life is a good way to represent voters or a free state in general - but that’s just my oppinion
