Hi,
I am planning for 10 days vacation in Germany & Czech Republic in July. I was thinking to get an Eurail pass. But I read the FAQ section of the Eurail pass, it stated that it is only valid for non-European resident only, and if one lives longer than 6 months here, he/she is considered as resident.
Another option is Interail pass, which is very expensive (249€ for 5 days compare to US$249 5 days for Eurail pass)
Does anyone know other cheaper option to travel in europe?
Thanks
James
Do you need to tell them you a local resident, particularly if you can ask it to be delivered to a friend adress in the USA?
Yeah.. I have been thinking about this because I am traveling with a friend from USA and I can get it posted to her. But my concern is the passport stamp of my entry to Switzerland is more than 6 months now, will they check?
If you live in Basel, you might try starting your journey across the border in France so they won't look for that stamp. You might be able to claim it's an old one. Of course, they might ask to see your flight info, but you never know.
