EURO account in UBS

The in-laws gave us some Euros for Christmas and I would like to put them in the bank as Euros.

Has anyone got a Euro account with UBS? Does it work like a normal SFr account?

I have a EUR account with them. I use it for payments and when I need EUR cash, I get that at the branch at the airport (as I do not have a separate EUR debit card).

I store my foreign currency on my Revolut card. No interest but no charges either. I use it when buying from Amazind (dot) de & fr and eating out in neighbourhood France

But you can’t pay cash into Revolut.

I have one with UBS and another one with PF.
The one with UBS is a savings account, so it comes with some restrictions (30k withdrawal per year w/o notice, otherwise 3 months notice). I am not sure if they offer current accounts, if yes, maybe they charge, that’s why I didn’t open one.

But PF is a far better option. They offer both current and savings accounts with no extra charges. Moving in/out money (on the current account) via web-banking is free of charge (for SEPA). Online payments abroad are also free on the PF side. Depositing cash (EUR) in your EUR account at the PostOffice is also free of charge. Withdrawing cash incurs fees if you withdraw at the PostOffice, but it is free of charge at the ATM. I have opened 2 EUR current accounts and adjusted my monthly withdrawal limit to 20k EUR per month and 4k EUR per day (max card limits), giving me up to 40k EUR in cash every month. This should be enough.
