So apparently are there two lotteries in Switzerland... one for German speakers... and one for Francophone. Ticket sales end at the cantonal borders and stuff cant be redeem on the other side of the Röstigraben. I understood that's what was up in the 80s... but with modern computers in every last Kiosk - how can this still be a thing? I know its a first world problem... but it says a lot about the country we live in. The solution of the shop was to hand me an addressed envelope - apparently could I mail in the tickets to some central counter in Bern which will check my tickets for me.
You can check the numbers on the lottery website and save yourself the cost of a stamp.
It’s lotterie Romande for the french part and swisslos for the German part but the winning numbers are the same.
If you’re won then it may be worth crossing the röstigraben to collect your winnings.

We discovered the same thing when I tried to check a ticket in Biel many years ago but at least it was just a short hop back over to the other side.
Yep, living in Valais I am unable to buy a ticket on the Swisslos website and must use the Loro website. Which is annoying as Swisslos website has an English option, where as Loro is only in French and German.
