Hi, I recently acquired a C permit, and I'd like to try some shot. My Schwizerdütsch is not really the best, so I was wondering if anyone can recommend a shooting club in the Zurich area which won't groan at me for being Italian. I'd like to just do some practice and therefore I'd have to rent some guns in place. I have tried it before so I'm not 100% n00b but definitely not a skilled shooter and unfortunately I don't have any shooter acquaintances here who could introduce me.

Permits ? We don’t need no stinking permits!
Of a naturally friendly disposition, I will gladly shoot any expat for free (would regret an Italian less - but hey, just trying to be helpful) ... we can line up at dawn, if you prefer, but depending upon location do bear in mind, I might have to travel overnight... how about the afternoon? Early evening?
I need to spend some time on finally finishing that site...
The club is much more active than the site, we go shooting at least once a month. We have a whatsapp group to organise, so drop me a pm and I'll get you added.
Edit: Forgot to say, I'm Italian too - so if you prefer to speak Italian, that goes. We will have our next "newbies" day on the 27th of July if you're interested, drop me a PM.
From what I know: it is possible, but hard to get.
What really helps with B permit is to have a gun licence from your home country
Yes, I have the document from Brazil, will try to put the same in the files, or I can pay for the translation to english or german here.

Every time I come across this thread title, I first imagine someone looking for a shooting club that doesn't shoot expats.

Out of interest, where is this club? I can't seem to find info on location unless I am being completely blind.

In terms of ranges, these are the most common we use :
Swiss Shooting Group (Spreitenbach)
Tivoli (Spreitenbach)
Selgis
Bruning indoor (300m indoor range in a mountain, very cool)
That said, we are a very new club... so if there's a range you like using, we are more than happy to adapt
