Expat Shield not working with BBC or C4

Anyone experienced a recent problem with viewing BBC iplayer using expat shield? Up until 2 weeks ago it was fine now I get the standard message on BBC that I am not in the region despite being logged into ES and using a GB vpn.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the software so I assume it's up to date. I emailed them too ...no response.

Any ideas?

They probably blocked/marked your VPN

You could always take out a free trial with another provider in the meantime. Several do not even require a credit card sign up for the trial.

The BBC may be gradually making it harder to watch the iplayer from non-UK locations.

I've tried another and it works...so must be the old VPN.

Yes, same here. I was using Hola originally, then it seemed no longer to work, or only work at the 23rd attempt. So I switched to a free trial with another provider and since then no problems, until the trial ran out, then I switched again!
