However, I'm with wingo for several years now and I have no complaints.
A friend of mine gave up all house installations (phone, internet, radio, tv - you name it, he gave it up) and uses his wingo as hotspot. That means his expenses are Fr. 55.00 per month for everything, as wingo starts at Fr. 25.00, then goes up with usage to the max. of Fr. 55.00 from where it's unlimited.
So yes, go for it as they give you this 2-year offer to start.
My friend never has any connectivity problems either although where he lives the deer come to say good night and the hedgehog and the fox come for dinner. (That is no joke, that's what's happening at his place daily, LOL!!)
Wingo is a daughter of Swisscom. Connectivity can't get better than that in Switzerland - apart from fibre maybe.
I bought a wingo swiss subscription from mobilezone.ch, there is a offer wingo swiss 24 chf instead of 58 chf. So I think it is a great offer. Today I activate the Simcard and the connection is 3g and signal is only one bar. I don’t understand the cause, I live in near Winterthur, my phone iphone7. I don’t understand the cause
I had wingo - similar deal, no complaints. Had to use it as hotspot on occasion and worked well. Now I have yallo swiss flat - 25/mo unlimited in all swiss, eu, USA and Canada. So far, it appears I have less bars in many places, but having unlimited internet in so many countries outweighs this. Both have been easy to pay and log in to see usage. I do miss being able to call EU countries for free with wingo.
Reception inside buildings is often horrible unfortunately in my experience, I'm considering switching back to wingo even if it means giving up unlimited data abroad (not enough usage to justify 45 chf per month)
How are Salt generally viewed? They seem to have some great offers right now, but their EU roaming doesn't include certain EU countries... Not a problem for most people, but it is when you're from one of them and quite often go back to visit people
Purportedly they do not throttle in Switzerland but no idea how accurate this is. They do offer multiple language support (including English) like Swisscom
60 days is the standard interval to port from provider and Wingo can lock you in today if your end of contract is <6 months
No throttling noticed when I switched from swisscom, I think the key differentiator for them is that wingo does not offer 5G (unlike sunrise/yallo). Depending on where you live, you could consider this throttling.
Wingo are great, I have the same deal you mentioned. Been with them for a year, I pay 25.95 inclusive of 5G. This is an additional add-on with them. Ensure you get that included free. They have great coverage.
Wingo is great in Switzerland and Europe but lousy in the United States. I paid more for my US coverage but my data on my package didn't seem to go as far as in Switzerland.
