anyone made experiences with HireRight? Either from the perspective of the company that employs them to do the background checks or as a person being checked by them.
Yes they did a background check on me when I was selected by a company in Zurich. They really want you to provide all education certificates and reference letters. They did call my university inquiring about my degree and they also called a couple of my prior employers as well.
The whole process was a little time-consuming. Hope this helps.
Hi all, does anyone have recent experience with HireRight? I got an offer from a company in Basel which is using HireRight for the background check.
What information are you looking for?
Your choice is to do the background checks, or turn down the job, unless you think you're unique enough to refuse and still get the job, which would be a first in my experience.
If you have anything to hide, especially if you work in Banking just don't waste everybody's time, declare whatever infraction occurred & ask them if they wish to proceed. Unless you have a really unique skill of will work for 6k a month ve 12k, just forget it.
I am interested to know how long the checks take and how much effort from me would be required to get through the process. Maybe someone will share their experience. Of course I have nothing to hide.
Then just wait & you will probably get the job
I wouldn't worry too much. Probably the company is required to do the check, they need to tick the box and prove it.
HireRight caters to the US market, so they might be able to check your US background if any. Sure they might work with other companies specialized in other countries, but most likely they would be able to check only general aspects
A few months ago, is that fresh enough?
I was asked only two times to provide additional info, about two different things from my history, which I couldn't provide. There was no follow up on that, I just submitted some supplementary documents, that's all. I guess one of my previous employers got busted so they couldn't reach out, also my last employer did not respond...
It went pretty quick, however I didn't saw the result. It was covered in their T&C, only people in USA are sent a copy of the result. Well, I only heard from the company hiring me that all is fine but no details.
These companies offer various levels of service and since we have no idea what services your future employer has contracted its impossible to say.
